Questions for further study

Q: Should internet service providers (ISPs) and websites be held more accountable for harm caused by defamatory posts on their sites? How can this be accomplished?

Q: Should Section 230 of the CDA be amended to require an ISP notification and take-down requirement? This would mean that ISPs could be held accountable for defamation from third parties if they were notified and didn’t remove the defamatory posts within a certain required timeframe. How would this impact ISPs?

Q: Should websites that allow posts, such as review sites, be required to police their sites for potentially defamatory posts?

Q: Would websites that solicit comments/reviews be better off if they didn’t allow anonymous posts? Also, would these sites be better off if they made posters register before they were allowed to post?
